We are delighted to have received funding from the Baring Foundation to take forward a piece of work with older people over the next 18 months.
We will engage older people in working with artists to create a series of art works, the nature of these to be determined by participants, which culminate in exhibitions and performances in arts venues across Cornwall. The theme of Celebrating Age and Ambition (which is an approach developed by a range of partners to changing the lives of older people and the way in which they are viewed and served by a range of service providers) will provide the basis for artistic exploration by older people facilitated by a team comprising a visual artist, a writer and a dance practitioner.
This piece of work will be starting during April this year and culminate in October 2012 to coincide with Older People’s Day that year.
